WELCOME TO THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF NAMIBIA 


The Public Service Commission of Namibia was established in terms of the Article 112 of the Constitution of Namibia as an independent and Impartial body. The Public Service Commission Act, 1990 (Act No 2 of 1990) gives effect to the Constitutional provisions for the establishment of the Commission.

Under this Act or any other law, the Public Service Commission consists of a Chairperson and no fewer than three (3) and no more than six (6) other members, nominated by the President and appointed by the National Assembly by resolution.

Every member appointed in terms of subsection (2) shall be entitled to hold office as such member for a period of five years, but shall on the expiry of his or her period of office be eligible for re-appointment.
